HK wants clean air, won't pay |

HONG KONG, October 1 -- A survey commissioned by Hong Kong's South China Morning Post found that while 81% of 400 respondents supported renewable energy development to improve air quality, only 24% were prepared to accept higher electricity tariffs to fund cleaner power generation.
The discrepancy shows the financial difficulties Hong Kong's government and utilities will face in updating Hong Kong's power generation facilities beyond pre-agreed targets.
