HK teens queue overnight for shopping bag PDF Print E-mail

The arrival of Anya Hindmarch's cult "I am not a plastic bag" canvas shopping bag in Hong Kong saw students queuing up overnight in IFC Mall to be the first to own one.

Around 100 students waited overnight in a roped-off area of the mall Thursday night while by Friday the queue had stretched to Exchange Square.

The bag is billed as an alternative to plastic shopping bags. A company spokesman said the plastic wrap containing the non-plastic bag was "fully biodegradable."
