Nanjing-based PV maker ET Solar has won its first supply contract in Korea, signing a module sales agreement with Techwin Co Ltd , a Korean plant engineering and environmental technology development firm.

Under the contract, ET Solar will supply 500kW of PV modules to Techwin in the third quarter of this year.

Xinghua Wang, CEO and chairman of ET Solar, said: "We are very excited to establish business relationships with significant Korean PV plays like Techwin. The 500 kilowatt PV module agreement represents ET Solar's first transaction in the burgeoning Korean PV market."

Wang said he expected ET Solar to develop further relationships in fast-growing Korean PV market. The Korean government has set a goal of producing 5% of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2012, primarily using wind, solar and hydrogen/fuel cell technologies.

Headquartered in Nanjing, capital of China’s eastern Jiangsu Province, ET Solar has two manufacturing facilities in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province. The company's products range from mono- and multicrystalline ingots, mono- and multicrystalline silicon wafers, modules, dual-axis tracking systems and BIVP products.
