China Power Investment cooperates with China Aluminium |

BEIJING, August 31 -- China Power Investment (CPI) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Aluminum Corporation (CHALCO), according to which, both parties will cooperate to develop power and aluminum projects in such areas as Liaoning, Shanxi and Qinghai to complement with each other and build up market strength.
High power prices have caused aluminium smelters to suffer this year; it is hoped such cooperation agreements will help cool aluminium prices.
